Flight: Volume 1, Kazu Kibuishi (ed.)

Flight is a series of compilations of short graphic stories, each written and illustrated by different comic artists that feature radically different art and storytelling styles, but are united by a common theme which changes from book to book. The successful series is edited by Bolt City creator Kazu Kibuishi, who recently spoke on a panel at Comic-Con with Kid Beowulf author Alexis E. Fajardo. There are five volumes of Flight already published, with a sixth unveiled last weekend at Comic-Con. It’s a great way to expose yourself to a huge variety of comic styles, and the care given to the editing process ensures that each story is a high-quality, highly enjoyable read.
