Thursday, July 30th, 2009

The 2009 San Diego Comic-Con wrapped up last Sunday, and with it came the bestowal of the Eisner Awards upon works of creative achievement in American comic books. This year featured a new category, “Best Publication for Teens/Tweens”, the winner of which was the graphic novel version of Neil Gaiman’s Coraline, illustrated by P. Craig Russell. Kid Beowulf @ Comic-Con!

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Hello, all! Just a friendly reminder to all those die-hards attending San Diego this year: be sure to stop by table P15 in the small press area. Lex will be on hand selling copies of the new Kid Beowulf.

And be sure to check in here over the course of the weekend. I’ll be posting updates from con floor as they come in from Lex. For more on what to expect, visit the man himself over at kidbeowulf.com.

Kid Beowulf Is off the Launch Pad at Comic-Con ’08

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Hello Gang! Comic-Con is fast approaching, and if you’re going to be at the big event this year, be sure to stop by the Kid Beowulf booth and congratulate Alexis Fajardo on the successful launch of his new book. And be sure to pick yourself up a copy while you’re there.

The word from Lex is:

I will be at Comic-Con for Preview Night (July 23rd) thru the 27th. I have a table in the Small Press area (P16 P15, I think). I should also have some sculpts on hand: the Hama sculpt and hopefully a Beowulf sculpt or two (they still need a little work). I’ll pretty much be manning the table all 5 days, hopefully signing and selling lots of books.
